Jochen "Jack" Wurfl's story of survival -- including a stint in the Hitler Youth as a young boy trying to hide his Jewish heritage -- is detailed in his recently published autobiography "My Two Lives." Originally written to document for his descendants their family's suffering, Mr. Wurfl hopes the account helps others take antisemitism more seriously in the wake of the Oct. 7 invasion of Israel by Hamas, a Palestinian terror group.
