Several people were killed in a gas explosion at a coal mine in eastern Ukraine on Friday, officials said. The Emergency Services Ministry said Seventy-eight people were working in the mine when the blast occurred early Friday morning. They said it was provoked by a sudden release of gas during work in the drilling pits. 13 rescue teams and five resuscitation and anti-shock teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident, officials said.
