President Ronald Reagan's presidential library was opened and dedicated in 1991. Nixon, Ford, Carter, and HW Bush joined Reagan for the ceremony, marking the first time in US history that five presidents were gathered in the same place. Located in Simi Valley, California, it is the largest presidential library in terms of the aggregate size of its facilities. The library contains numerous exhibits that detail events from Reagan's life. Starting with his childhood, film career, and military service, the library also has news clippings from the assassination attempt and highlights from his presidential campaigns. On the grounds, there is a recreation of the White House Lawn, a large piece of the Berlin Wall, and an airplane hangar that houses the aircraft that served as Air Force One for Reagan and six other presidents.
