Rep. Ralph Abraham, a Republican from Louisiana who is seeking the governor's seat for his state, rocked national headlines by claiming in a 30-second campaign advertisement that "there are only two genders." San Francisco, where felons are ‘justice-involved’ and there’s no shame in crime

San Francisco's Board of Supervisors just adopted a resolution recommending that felons not be called felons but rather "formerly incarcerated person" or former "justice-involved" person or "returning resident" -- or any other number of soft and fuzzy names that won't hurt the feelings of the, umm, felons. Jews really shouldn’t vote Democrat

One of life's greatest questions is if God created all, who created God? And one of life's other greatest questions is, how can Jews vote for Democrats? President Donald Trump put it this way: They're either ignorant or disloyal. And while the media circus performers have been having lots of fun with that one, the fact is, Trump has got a point. Bernie Sanders Boyz: College kids who love free stuff

Sen. Bernie Sanders has finally found his presidential campaign niche -- college-age kids. You know, the ones who pretend like they're adults because they live away from home, but who call mom every weekend to get their pizza and beer checks. Israel is not an ‘occupier,’ no matter how many crocodiles cry

Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, on the heels of creating a media stir over their denied entry to Israel -- because of their support for the anti-Israeli, BDS movement, that is -- just created a new media stir with a press conference that repeated the content of their first media stir. Cry, cry and the world will cry with you -- is that their hope? Published August 20, 2019

A.I. unleashed on college kids to determine ‘hate speech’

As if college administrators could be trusted to determine what constitutes hate speech versus what does not -- now comes the university-created artificial intelligence aimed at doing the same. And that's "hate speech" in quotation marks. Published August 13, 2019

‘Fredo’ as the ‘n-word’ a best-kept secret

If calling an Italian guy a "Fredo" is akin to calling a black dude an n-word, wouldn't everybody know that? Wouldn't media companies the world over insist on journalists writing "Fredo" as "F--o," or subbing in the "FO-word" when used in a quote -- or some other non-offending equivalent? ‘Christians in the Mirror’ a sober, somber reminder of how good Americans have it

In America, religious persecution against Christianity means fighting the ACLU for the right to read a Bible in school. In Iraq, or Sudan, or India, it means fighting to worship Jesus without being beheaded. Or bombed. Or left an orphan. That's the sobering, somber, not-to-subtle head thump of the film "Christians in the Mirror." Published August 13, 2019

Dear Donald Trump, please read — a surprise medical billing that needs rapid fixing

What of the idea of informed patient consent? The right of one to control one's own health care? Good question. With emergency medical air transports, patients, families of patients, are bluntly, getting financially screwed. Bamboozled, even. Texas smart: State letting guns into churches, schools

New laws are about to take effect in Texas that will open doors for firearms' owners to carry their weapons into school, into churches, into places that have been traditionally gun-free and gun-restricted zones. Texas is the banner state to watch on this. If only more legislatures and governors would follow suit. Published August 8, 2019
