In this Oct. 21, 2016, file photo, Chinese students work on the Ares, a humanoid bipedal robot designed by them with fundings from a Shanghai investment company, displayed during the World Robot Conference in Beijing. U.S. officials have a name for their frustration with Beijing’s technology ambitions: “Made in China 2025.” Issued in 2015, it calls for China to develop its own global competitors in fields from information technology to electric cars to pharmaceuticals. Sex robots, bringing dysfunction to a community near you

For less than $2,000, men the world over can order and have shipped their very own handmade woman -- their very own artificially intelligence-responding, machine-programmed moving, software-generated moaning portable flesh-like robotic sex doll. Yep. They have to leave their dignity at the door, of course. Published April 24, 2018

Kanye ‘I love Trump’ West breaks black rap mold

On the one hand, who cares what hip-hop star Kanye West thinks. But on the other hand, West is breaking the black rapper mold, not to mention Hollywood elitist bubble, by coming forward in support of conservatives and the First Amendment. And that's kinda significant and notable. Published April 24, 2018

Hillary Clinton, the energizer bunny of finger-pointing

Hillary Clinton, in her most recent speech at the Pen America World Voices Festival, suggested the media made her lose. Sigh. She's the energizer bunny of the blame game, going strong even two years after the campaign. Published April 24, 2018

GQ strikes ‘foolish’ Bible from should-read list

The editors of GQ magazine, in all their literary acumen, struck the Bible from its recently assembled "21 Books You Don't Have to Read" list. Good thing they didn't list the Koran. Mocking Christians is fairly safe business. Mock the wrong Muslim and bam, there goes your head. Published April 23, 2018

Obamacare repeal — remember that? GOP doesn’t

On Friday came this sad but true headline from The Hill: "GOP in retreat on ObamaCare." Another promise, another skate. Republicans, once the party of principle -- of law and Constitution and limited governance and conservatism of Founding Father ideals -- have simply morphed into red-tied Democrats. AFT teacher’s union splits with Wells Fargo to punish bank for NRA ties

The American Federation of Teachers, an organization that popular thought would have in existence to press for teachers' rights in the classroom, has gone full blown political to tell Wells Fargo, in essence: Quit banking with the National Rifle Association. And since Wells Fargo won't, the AFT announced it's going to stop doing business with Wells Fargo. Published April 20, 2018

Faith leaders skew Bible to oppose SNAP reform

Faith leaders are coming out in full force to oppose the Republican-sponsored Farm Bill released in the House that imposes stricter work requirements on those receiving food stamps. Fake news, meet artificial intelligence. But it was all fake. And get ready for the floodgates to open on more AI-assisted fake videos and audio. Published April 18, 2018

James Comey ought to be prosecuted, say 46 percent

James B. Comey, former FBI director, is facing fire from the people, apparently, for his brazen attacks on President Donald Trump, for his outspoken criticisms of White House ways of doing business and -- for leaking to the media. Rasmussen Reports found in a recent survey 46 percent of those polled think Comey ought to be prosecuted for leaking to the press. Published April 18, 2018

Barbara Bush — even the left respected and grieves her

Barbara Bush, the "silver fox" of modern-day politics -- so-dubbed for her snowy white hair and cut-to-the-chase manner of speaking -- has died, leaving a legacy that will be talk of the town for the next few days. Even the left is grieving her passing. And in this day and time of vicious politicking -- that ain't small potatoes. Published April 18, 2018

France’s futile hope to ‘reform’ Islam

So France, feeling the pinch and reeling from its umpteenth terror attack in recent times -- a police officer was just killed by a gunman who claimed ties to ISIS -- has now announced a new pitch to pacify the radicals of Islam and help integrate them into courteous society. Good luck with that. Published April 17, 2018

Donald Trump is winning — that’s why the left is unraveling

President Donald Trump rode into office on the wings, in part, of a promise to clean up the Deep State, drain the swamp and boot from places of influence those who've worked behind the scenes to undo America's greatness, one unconstitutional usurpation at a time. It must be working. How else to explain how nuts the left's been acting of late? Published April 17, 2018

Thomas Jefferson statue smearing as ‘Racist + Rapist’ despicable and revisionist

Thomas Jefferson was a complicated guy. So smearing his statue, as vandals just did, with the red painted words of "Racist + Rapist" at the University of Virginia, the college he actually founded, fails to take into account the complicated twists and turns of his beliefs, the pragmatic nature of his political leanings, the ultimate efforts he made to ban slavery from a significant portion of America. James Comey tell-all strikes as revengeful rip of Donald Trump

It's not that the nation doesn't already know of James Comey's utter contempt for President Donald Trump. But there's something about putting hatred to print that makes it all the more vicious. And that's what Comey seems to have done with his new tell-all book, poised to hit bookstores across the country. It's his way of getting the last word with the president -- his way of exacting a revenge for being fired. Published April 13, 2018
