Donald Trump’s border stance an inspiration, no matter what polls say

President Donald Trump has taken a hard-core stand for his long-promised border wall, and this has put him in a deep, deep dump with the American people -- so go the polls. But let's remember: These are the same polls that put Hillary Clinton in the White House. By wide margins, in some cases. Published January 8, 2019

Even when leftists win, they embrace hate

Democrats, listen up: You won the House. So here's a question: Why the need to keep up the hate-filled rants against conservatives? Published January 8, 2019

New year, new chance to reclaim ‘God-given’

It's 2019 and if this new year should bring anything, it's a national reclamation of what makes this country the absolute best in the world -- the notion that here, in America, individual rights are recognized as coming from God, not government. There's a resolution worth keeping, wouldn't you say? Published January 5, 2019

Rashida Tlaib, Michigan’s newest Muslim lawmaker, sets Dem tone: ‘Impeach the mother—!’

Rep. Rashida Tlaib is Michigan's newest lawmaker on Capitol Hill, and because she's a Muslim woman raised in "southwest Detroit who didn't speak English," as she self-identified on Twitter, that makes her elevation to public office worthy of historic note. And then she crowed this, right after her swearing-in ceremony, about President Donald Trump: "Impeach the motherf--!" Published January 4, 2019

Media’s military MAGA hat-signing obsession fueled by jealousy, hatred

Members of the mainstream media have been harping on President Donald Trump for signing MAGA hats brought by military troops he visited in Iraq and Germany. As if he were doing something shamefully wrong? Truly, these critics have hit bottom-of-the-bucket for reasons to hate on Trump. Published December 28, 2018

Martina Navratilova, the latest victim of transgenderism wrath

Openly lesbian tennis legend Martina Navratilova has been a hero of sorts to the LGBTQ crowd -- until now, that is, when she dared to tweet that males who simply "proclaim" themselves females to compete in female sporting events is unfair and wrong. Thing is: Navratilova only spoke the truth. Published December 28, 2018

European Union guides members to strike ‘mankind,’ ‘manpower,’ ‘man-made’

The European Union has sent a guidebook to member states telling them that words like "mankind," "manpower" and "man-made" are no longer acceptable -- that rather they should sub in "humanity," "staff" and "artificial," and any number of other genderless options. Doesn't the EU have enough to worry about, with Brexit and borders and burning fires in the streets and all? Published December 27, 2018

Michelle Obama topples Hillary Clinton in ‘most admired’ poll

For the first time in 17 years, Hillary Clinton is not the "Most Admired Woman in America," according to Gallup polling -- Michelle Obama is. Perhaps the bigger story here is that Hillary Clinton managed to hang on to "most admired" status for 17 years. Who are these people? Published December 27, 2018

In the Ohio House, Democratic State Rep. Bill Patmon of Cleveland introduced House Bill 119, making it illegal to manufacture, sell or display toy guns. The ban would apply to any toy gun that a "reasonable person" could confuse with a real one and comes with a possible $1,000 fine and up to 180 days in jail. An earlier bill was introduced in Ohio requiring some fake guns to be brightly colored. That bill hasn't moved forward and Rep. Patmon has said it doesn't go far enough.

Toy gun buyback for pansies

Hempstead, New York, officials, citing concerns for the safety of children, warned parents off buying toy guns as gifts this Christmas -- and also hosted a toy gun buyback event. The outgoing senator from Missouri, Democrat Claire McCaskill, went on CNN and told the host and listening national audience she was "confused" why the House's newest soon-to-be-seated member, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, was "the thing," given her all talk, no action state of reality. When Christmas used to matter

Family Dollar stores, at least some, are open "the usual hours" on Christmas Day, Fox Business reported. Certain Dollar Tree locations are open, as well, Country Living reported. Just in case -- what, somebody needs that plastic tumbler for eggnog or those half-priced candy canes to hang on the soon-to-be-tossed tree? Sigh. Published December 25, 2018

Anthony Scaramucci’s Christmas story of humility, faith

Appearances can be deceiving. Case-in-point: The Anthony Scaramucci of ten-second television soundbite, of two-minute media interview, of five minute pundit appearance, is not the Anthony Scaramucci of in-person or on-the-phone. He's actually refreshing. And low key. And frank. Published December 22, 2018

Donald Trump gets his $5 billion from House — and then some

President Donald Trump won his requested $5 billion for a border wall -- and then some -- in a House stopgap bill that passed on Republican-dominated votes, 217-185. It won't pass the Senate. But the point is this: At least Republicans were willing to fight for the wall. Senate GOP, are you watching? This is how you fight. Published December 21, 2018

Amazon busted for ‘immoral, almost voyeuristic’ Alexa eavesdropping ‘error’

An Amazon user in Germany was just able to gain access to an estimated 1,700 voice recordings of an Alexa user -- because, get this, of a glitch at the Amazon company. That's some glitch. But the bigger glitch is these erroneously shared files gave eavesdroppers the access to enough snippets of private in-home conversations they were soon able to piece together the Alexa user's identity.
