The ISS is an international effort with 5 partners, whose current objectives vary, (space agencies in alphabetical order)*CSA. Canada concentrates on Robotics and Science.*ESA. Europe conducts Scientific Research and develops Spaceship Navigation, Propulsion and Docking.*JAXA. Japan concentrates on Research in Material and Life sciences, also Liberal Arts and Education with the largest Laboratory in 6 elements spanning 3 segments.*NASA. the United States provides the Space Shuttle for logistic support, conducts Scientific research, and develops life support systems in accordace with current policy.*RKA.
