It is a bicameral body composed of the Alabama House of Representatives, with 105 members, and the Alabama Senate, with 35 members. Although the Alabama Legislature is dominated by Democrats (with Democrats holding a 60-45 advantage in the House, and a 20-15 advantage in the Senate), the Legislature is considered one of the most conservative in the nation, with the majority of white Democrats being Conservative Democrats, although they are differentiated from the Republicans in the legislature by being somewhat more favorable to the desires of labor unions on economic issues. - Source: Wikipedia
