This March 4, 1861 photo of the first inauguration of President Abraham Lincoln taking the oath of office is set to be unveiled by Bowdoin College on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in Brunswick, Maine. The photograph is believed to have been taken by Scottish-American photographer Alexander Gardner and is one of only three known copies.
