Mike Kelly, pointing, during a six-hour four-wheeler ride on a trail north of Two Rivers, Alaska, that had been made nearly impassible by state reclamation efforts. He called the trip "miserable and ugly." Through his efforts, state officials agreed to rework the trail and preserve it. Kelly died at 74 in December, 2016 when a plane he was piloting crashed.
