The Washington National Cathedral's Dean Gary Hall announced June 25, 2015, "It's time to remove stain glass windows that honor confederate history." The The National Cathedral installed two stained glass windows in 1953 with a variety of scenes seeking to depict American history in a way that promoted healing and reconciliation, but in 2015 in good conscience can not justify the presence of the Confederate flag in a house of prayer for all people.
