Eight-year-old Mitchell Tonkin, from Pennsylvania, takes a closer look at his flag while waiting to join this year's 'Rolling Thunder' at one of the Pentagon's parking lots near Pentagon City, Va, Sunday, May 27, 2007. Tens of thousands of motor cyclists, of whom many served in the U.S. Military, gathered first on the parking lots around the Pentagon as early as 7am this morning before crossing over to the District on Memorial Bridge then heading towards the U.S. Capitol on Constitution Avenue and finally returning back to the Lincoln Memorial on Independence Avenue. The event draws a huge crowd of visitors to the National Mall and many could hear the 'Rolling Thunder' for several hours. (Astrid Riecken/The Washington Times )
