The Washington Times covers Rolling Thunder (Slideshow)
A collection of images from over the years by Washington Times photographers highlighting the annual Rolling Thunder event that brings veterans and bikers to Washington DC every Memorial Day weekend to demonstrate for prisoner of war/missing in action awareness and veterans rights.
Tens of thousands of motor cyclists are saluted while joining the 20th anniversary of 'Rolling Thunder' near the Lincoln Memorial NW Washington, D.C., Sunday, May 27, 2007. The cyclists, of whom many served in the U.S. Military, gathered first on the parking lots around the Pentagon in Virginia as early as 7am this morning before crossing over to the District on Memorial Bridge and heading towards the U.S. Capitol on Constitution Avenue before returning back to the Lincoln Memorial on Independence Avenue. The event draws a huge crowd of visitors to the National Mall and many could hear the 'Rolling Thunder' for several hours. (Astrid Riecken/The Washington Times )
