Christy Shamblin’s daughter-in-law Marine Sgt. Nicole Gee was killed along with 12 others during a suicide bombing at the Kabul Airport in Afghanistan during the disastrous U.S. withdrawal. After three years, she and other Gold Star families are speaking out following a memorial at Arlington National Cemetery that former President Donald Trump attended. Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris called Mr. Trump’s presence a political stunt. Ms. Shamblin and other families, however, say it’s a failure of the Biden-Harris administration because they haven’t met with the families since their service members were killed three years ago.
