Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was detained by police before Sunday’s season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to a team spokesperson.

Dolphins officials said police officers detained the eight-time Pro Bowler one block from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Hill was cited for reckless driving and briefly placed in handcuffs, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.

“Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support, the Dolphins wrote on X. “Tyreek and all other players involved have safely arrived to the stadium and will be available for today’s game.”

The game against the Jaguars is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Miami.
