Kamala Harris continues to present herself as a champion of women’s rights. Yet, her actual record raises serious questions about whether her policies truly protect and advance the interests of women.

Ms. Harris’ “advocacy” for women’s rights seems to focus narrowly on the issue of abortion while neglecting, and even undermining, other critical aspects of what it means to defend women’s rights.

Redefining womanhood

One of the most fundamental challenges in Ms. Harris’ record is her inability – and outright refusal – to provide a clear definition for the term “woman.” As Vice President, Ms. Harris has embraced policies that endorse a fluid understanding of gender, promoting the idea that anyone can identify as a woman, regardless of biology. She has even listed multiple pronouns on her official documents, signaling her belief in this ideology. This undermines the very foundation of advocating for women’s rights.

How can one protect the rights of a specific group of people if they cannot – and will not – define and specify who exactly belongs to that group?

As an evangelical Christian, I am compelled to speak up when basic, ancient and evident truths are being challenged. Like millions upon millions of Americans, I believe there are only two divinely-designed genders.

And as a father of a daughter, I have a God-given paternal responsibility to be defensive of obvious offenses that threaten the real rights of real women.

Women’s sports under attack

Kamala Harris’ policies also jeopardize women’s rights in sports. She supports allowing biological men to compete in women’s athletics, ignoring the inherent physical advantages that come with male biology. This is not only a threat to women’s safety in contact sports like boxing and soccer, but it also undermines the achievements of women who have worked tirelessly to excel in their fields. The progress women have made in sports is being eroded, all while Ms. Harris stands by.

This is more than just a matter of fairness; it’s a form of abuse, both physical and emotional. The hard-earned victories and achievements of female athletes are being overshadowed by men who, due to biological advantages, dominate competitions. Women are forced to step aside, and Ms. Harris’ policies enable this injustice.

Attacking parental rights and female health

Another disturbing aspect of Ms. Harris’ record is her support for policies that allow third parties to intervene in the lives of young girls without parental consent. Ms. Harris has endorsed gender-transition procedures that can involve irreversible surgeries on minors. These procedures deprive young girls of their future ability to bear children and strip parents of their rights to be involved in such life-altering decisions. How can Ms. Harris claim to protect women’s rights when she supports policies that irreparably harm young women?

Economic harm to women

Ms. Harris’ record on women’s economic issues is similarly concerning. She supported increased IRS enforcement against tipped employees, fully aware that 80% of servers in the U.S. are women. This policy disproportionately harms women who are already working in a challenging and often underpaid sector of the economy. By supporting policies that further burden working-class women, Ms. Harris reveals a disconnect between her rhetoric and the reality of her actions.

Contradictory political alliances

Perhaps the most striking contradiction in Ms. Harris’ narrative on women’s rights is her choice of running mate. Ms. Harris has often characterized the white male as an oppressor, yet she chose Tim Walz – a white male – as her running mate. Choosing someone like Mr. Walz appears hypocritical. How could she place someone like him, someone from the greatest oppressor group in history, a mere heartbeat away from the presidency? The inconsistency here is glaring and calls into question her commitment to her own principles.

The unborn women Ms. Harris ignores

Finally, it is important to note that half of the unborn children Ms. Harris advocates aborting are statistically women. Her narrow focus on abortion rights overlooks the fact that these policies result in the death of future women – women who will never have the chance to live, grow, and make their own choices as women. How can one claim to be a champion for women’s rights while simultaneously supporting the elimination of future generations of women?

Kamala Harris’ record on women’s rights is full of contradictions and policies that harm the very people she claims to champion. From her inability to define what a woman is, to her support for policies that harm women in sports, health and the workforce, Ms. Harris’ advocacy for women’s rights is anything but comprehensive. As voters evaluate the leadership of Kamala Harris, they should look beyond slick slogans and examine the real impact of her poisonous policies on women.
