Vice President Kamala Harris will court Latino voters this week in Pennsylvania, a critical voting bloc in which she has been picking up support.

On Saturday, Ms. Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will travel to Allentown, Pennsylvania, for a series of events with Latino leaders and community leaders in the battleground state that is a must-win for her campaign.

The events will be part of Latinos con Harris-Walz.

Recent polls show that Ms. Harris has gained support among Latinos whom President Biden struggled with when he was atop the Democratic ticket.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll released Tuesday found that Ms. Harris has a 13-point lead over former President Donald Trump, 49% to 36%, with Latino voters. The poll also found that Latino voters preferred Ms. Harris on health care policy (46%-29%) and climate change (46%-23%), which are bigger leads than she holds among the broader electorate.

On the economy, Hispanic voters view Mr. Trump and Ms. Harris equally with each drawing 39% support.

A poll released last month by Equis Research, a Democratic polling firm, shows that Ms. Harris leads Mr. Trump by 19 points, 56% to 37% among registered Hispanic voters in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Latinos account for roughly 14% of voting-age U.S. citizens, according to data from the Census Bureau. Mr. Biden won the Hispanic vote by 21 points in 2020, an exit poll analysis by Pew Research found. That means Ms. Harris’ 13-point lead among registered Hispanic voters shows Mr. Trump gaining in that demographic.
