Former President Donald Trump said Vice President Kamala Harris is struggling with her campaign in New Hampshire.
“Comrade Kamala Harris sees there are problems for her campaign in New Hampshire because of the fact that they disrespected it in their primary and never showed up,” the GOP nominee wrote on his Truth Social account Tuesday.
“Additionally, the cost of living in New Hampshire is through the roof, their energy bills are some of highest in the country, and their housing market is the most unaffordable in history,” he said. “I protected New Hampshire’s First-In-The-Nation Primary and ALWAYS will! To my friends in New Hampshire, get out and vote TRUMP. Together, we will make your State and America Strong, Safe, and Prosperous AGAIN!”
Ms. Harris is set to host a campaign event in the Granite State on Wednesday.
Mr. Trump’s comments come as one of his campaign staffers has been let go after sending out an email saying New Hampshire is no longer winnable for Republicans.
Tom Mountain, a former Massachusetts Republican Party vice chairman, sent an email to Trump campaign supporters saying “the campaign has determined that New Hampshire is no longer a battleground state,” the Boston Globe reported Monday.

Mr. Mountain said Mr. Trump will “lose by an even higher margin” than in 2016 and 2020, and instructed Trump supporters to turn their attention instead to Pennsylvania.
“This isn’t true,” senior campaign adviser Brian Hughes told The Globe.
“President Trump’s campaign maintains an on-the-ground presence in New Hampshire, including staff and offices, while Kamala Harris is parachuting in because she knows that the Granite State is in play,” he said. “We look forward to building on the momentum that we have grown since the primary and sending New Hampshire’s four electoral votes to President Trump’s column on November 5.”
According to a compilation of polls by FiveThirtyEight, Ms. Harris leads Mr. Trump by seven points, and has since she jumped in the race in late July.
