OPINION:
Dear Dr. E: I recently read a column by Cheryl Chumley here in The Washington Times where Ms. Chumley asks, “Who can possibly vote Democrat today? Only those who share in the zero values and low morals of the party itself. This is not about politics anymore. This is about good versus evil.” Do you believe that those who vote for a Democrat are evil and have no values or morals? I’m just wondering because that’s how I read Ms. Chumley’s statement. — PASTOR WHO LEANS DEMOCRAT FROM OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA
Dear Pastor: To be very blunt, I agree with Ms. Chumley’s basic premise. There is no getting around the fact that anyone who votes for the Democratic Party of 2024 is voting for a political party that is clearly lacking any sense of moral values. Yes, I believe a vote for anyone identifying with this political party is a vote for evil.
Consider the following irrefutable facts:
First, a vote for a Democrat is a vote for the misogyny of “trans women” and drag queens. Is there anything more demeaning to women than an adult man wearing size 14 pumps, a dress, fake breasts, a wig, complete with overdone makeup, prancing around pretending to be a woman? This is degrading in the extreme. These humiliating caricatures are stock and trade of the entire drag and trans movement. The singular goal is to essentially mock what it means to be a female and to be celebrated for doing so. We have rightly condemned such “black-facing” of African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Jews, and other ethnic groups. Why in the world would we not do the same when such vile behavior is directed against women? A decent human being, no matter what their political stripe, should call out such vile behavior at every turn. And before you say, Democrats don’t officially support this, just stop! Kamala Harris is featured in multiple photo-ops celebrating this shameful degradation, as is Joe Biden and virtually every leader of the Democrat Party at large. Yes, this is anti-woman. Yes, it is immoral. Yes, it is wrong. And, yes, it is evil.
Second, a vote for a Democrat is a vote for the infanticide of Planned Parenthood. No one can deny that abortion has become akin to a religious sacrament for the Democrat Party. This is irrefutable. Both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz refuse to condemn any abortion, for any reason, at any time. This includes up to and including the very moment of birth, which means that a healthy 8-pound baby can be dismembered and literally torn asunder without any benefit of anesthesia as it is exiting the birth canal. The fact that the Democrat National Convention featured mobile abortion clinics promoting their free services to its delegates says it all. Yes, this is barbaric. Yes, this is child sacrifice. Yes, it’s immoral. Yes, it is evil.
Third, a vote for a Democrat is a vote for sexually grooming children in our public schools. The debauchery of the LGBTQIA agenda is pervasive in virtually every school system in the country. What, just yesterday, would have seemed so extreme that no one would have believed it could ever happen has now become commonplace. Nationwide, Democrats presently support school curricula for 11 and 12-year-olds that include the normalization of sodomy, the promotion of 57 different genders, the open discussion of incest and pedophilia, the “how-tos” of aberrant sex acts, and the complete and utter disregard for any traditional standards of chastity, chivalry, and self-restraint. The result is that over 20% of American 18-25-year-old young women now report having an STD, and over 25% of Gen Z females now claim to be transgendered or some other derivation of the rainbow. Yes, this is predatory. Yes, it is immoral. Yes, it is wrong. Yes, it is evil.
Fourth, a vote for a Democrat is a vote to further subjugate the working class to the smug heartlessness of the Beltway Billionaires. Since 2020, inflation has increased by over 20% because the Democrat party printed trillions of dollars of monopoly money. Who suffered first and suffered most as the result of this immoral fiscal policy? It’s the working class who can’t afford to buy gas and groceries. Also, since 2020, over 10.5 million illegal immigrants have been dispersed across our nation, thus overwhelming small towns like Springfield, Ohio. Who suffers first, and who suffers most when 20,000 Haitians are literally dropped on the front yards of a town in heartland America? It is the hardworking people that the Democrats like to call a “basket of deplorables.” You know, those who are “clinging to their God and their guns.” They’re the ones who lose their neighborhoods, lose their farms, lose their schools, lose their homes, and lose their safety while their Democrat betters sit in the private jets scolding them for being “Christian nationalists” and “xenophobes.”
I could go on and on. The list of wrongs is nearly endless. The bottom line is, yes, I agree with Cheryl Chumley. A vote for a Democrat is immoral. It is wrong. Yes, it is evil.
