Meta is actively trying to steer this election.

If you ask its artificial-intelligence chatbot about voting for Donald Trump, it describes him as “boorish and selfish” and “crude and lazy” and says his administration had been lambasted for “potentially undermining voting rights and promoting voter suppression.” These are all Democrats’ talking points.

Ask it about Kamala Harris, however, and you’ll get treated to claims of her “trailblazing leadership,” “record job creation and low unemployment” and support of rent relief and voting rights. The facts counter both arguments.

Mr. Trump may sometimes be boorish and crude, but he’s not selfish. He and his family have sacrificed enormously for this country, and his personal acts of charity and generosity are legion. As for the claim that he is lazy, it’s difficult to overstate how hard he works, and the only votes he wants to suppress are those that are fraudulently cast. We saw what his work ethic accomplished in the first three years of his term, and that progress came despite unending, crushing opposition.

As for Ms. Harris’ leadership, the chatbot bases that on the lone fact that she’s the first female vice president, a position that was handed to her. Her job creation and low unemployment may be at least partly true, but the facts show almost all of the jobs created have gone to the millions of illegals she let into the country, while the employment numbers have been manipulated and don’t reflect the reality of businesses closing and increasing layoffs.

And economists say that her prescriptions for rent relief will have the opposite effect, making rental properties rarer and more expensive, while her support for voting rights is just smoke and mirrors. The underlying intention of that support is to allow fraudulent voting and noncitizen voting to supplant the votes of U.S. citizens.

We shouldn’t be surprised at Meta’s overt backing of Democrats. The Democratic Party may talk a big game about being against Big Tech, but its actions tell another story.
