Former President Donald Trump ruled out another run for the White House Sunday if he loses to Vice President Kamala Harris on Nov. 5.
“No, I don’t. I think … that will be it. I don’t see that at all,” said Mr. Trump, 78, during an interview on “Full Measure” with Sharyl Attkisson, when asked if he would consider running again in 2028.
“Hopefully, we’re gonna be successful,” he said.
Early voting has begun in several states and voters will soon have less than 40 days until Nov. 5 to cast their ballots.
The current Real Clear Politics average has Ms. Harris 2.2% ahead of Mr. Trump and both campaigns are crisscrossing battleground states in an effort to get their messages out to voters and encourage backers to show up at the polls.
Ms. Harris was in Georgia and Wisconsin on Friday, while Mr. Trump held a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Saturday.
Ms. Harris accepted a CNN debate invitation to face off against Mr. Trump next month. The former president rejected the invitation, saying he has already engaged in two debates, and it was “too late” for another debate as early ballots have already been cast.
However, Mr. Trump did accept an invitation to the Al Smith dinner, where both presidential candidates traditionally attend and roast one another. Ms. Harris declined the invitation, the first time a presidential candidate has done so since 1984.
