Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday accused the Biden-Harris administration of cooking the books to claim crime numbers had dropped over the last three years.

Mr. Trump accused the Biden administration of excluding the worst cities from overall crime statistics to make it appear as if violent crime is decreasing while it’s actually on the rise.

“Crime here is up and through the roof, despite the fraudulent statements that they’ve made,” Mr. Trump said.

Vice President Kamala Harris fired back by pointing to Mr. Trump’s legal problems, accusing him of being a one-man crime wave.

She said Mr. Trump has been accused of national security crime, economic crime, found libel for sexual assault and will face a criminal sentence in New York after he was found guilty in that state of business fraud.

“Let’s be clear about where each person stands on respect for the law and respect for law enforcement,” she said.

Mr. Trump responded that he was a victim of a Justice Department weaponized against him by the Biden administration.
