BUTLER, Pa. — Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in Saturday’s return rally sectioned off part of the stands to honor Corey Comperatore, the volunteer firefighter who died during the July assassination attempt while shielding his wife and daughter from the bullets.

The seat where Mr. Comperatore sat at the July 13 rally featured his fireman’s jacket and helmet.

Mr. Comperatore was struck and killed by a bullet intended for Mr. Trump. Two others were critically injured.

The former president also honored Mr. Comperatore at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee and helped raise millions for his family.

Speakers here honored Mr. Comperatore, praising him as a proud father and husband and sparking chants of “Corey! Corey! Corey!”
