OPINION:
A man pretending to be a woman has filed a lawsuit against Liberty University in Virginia claiming the Christian school violated his civil rights by firing him after he disclosed he was not a woman, as he had originally presented, but rather a man. Conveniently enough, the man, who goes by the name Ellenor Zinski, waited until his 90-day employment probation period had ended and Liberty administrators had talked up his good job performance before filing the suit.
In other words: He purposely tricked Liberty into hiring him knowing Liberty would fire him so he could then cry for the American Civil Liberties Union to come in and sue.
It’s the Christian cake baker case all over again — you know, the one where the two lesbians in Colorado purposely requested Melissa Klein of “Sweet Cakes by Melissa” fame bake them a cake for their same-sex union, knowing full well their request violated her well-known Christian beliefs — so they could then sue — so they then sued.
This is today’s LGBTQ mode of operandi.
The LGBTQ campaign isn’t anything about equal rights and fair treatment. It’s all about shoving an ungodly and perverse agenda down the throats of unwilling participants, particularly those of the faith community, so as to reshape society into something that’s secular and wicked.
It’s beyond troublemaking.
It’s evil on the march.
Liberty, one of the largest and best-known Christian colleges in the world, requires employees to adhere to biblical principles as conditions of continuing their employment. And one of the principles would-be employees agree to abide by? That the school doesn’t play that gender-swapping, sex-changing crap.
This isn’t a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Civil Rights Act specifically states that religious institutions like Liberty are legally allowed to hire, or not hire, in line with their beliefs. Moreover, Zinski knew the university’s religious beliefs. Liberty has a Doctrinal Statement that states a “denial of birth sex by self-identification with a different gender” is a “sinful act prohibited by God,” as ACLU Virginia reported.
Liberty Counsel, a legal nonprofit that takes up cases of religious freedom, has stepped in to defend Liberty University.
“[A] brief filed by Liberty Counsel alleges that Zinski attempted to ‘set up’ the university, applying for [his] IT job four months after beginning to take female hormones yet agreeing — when offered the job in February 2023 — to adhere to the school’s statement rejecting transgender transition. Only after a 90-day probation ended did Zinski notify the university of the gender transition process and then request that the school ‘depart from its doctrine and mission,’ Liberty Counsel said in an effort to get the lawsuit dismissed,” ABC 9 News wrote.
Mat Staver, the chairman of Liberty Counsel, came right out and said it: “All of this was done to set Liberty [University] up and attempt to make an example out of the university for standing its ground,” he said, ABC wrote.
Seems so. Seems apparently so. Still, here comes the pity party for Zinski.
ACLU’s spokesperson says it’s an outrage — outrageous! — to accuse poor “Ellenor” of deploying underhanded tactics when all he, err, she, no wait, he, really wants is to put an end to discrimination in the workplace. Zinski says he’s, err, she’s, no wait, he’s always been a big admirer of Liberty University and that all he wanted to do was be himself, err, herself, no wait, himself. So confusing.
“I was hoping I could advocate for queer people,” he said, ABC wrote.
“We need Jesus just as much as anyone else does,” he went on.
True.
But a little dose of truth wouldn’t hurt, either.
And the truth is the LGBTQ crowd is filled with master strategists who seek out ways to destroy the traditional family unit; the biblically based foundations of family and society; and all that’s godly and good and moral and virtuous.
Zinski’s true aim was not to advance the gospel through his tech position at Liberty; his true mission was not to help spread the Christian faith as he worked his university job. His true goal was rather to wreak havoc on the university’s Christian doctrine and standards, and then spread that havoc to other Christian-based places of employment so as to chill the implementation of similar LGBTQ prohibitions.
His true goal was to throw into confusion the entire nation’s court system, to embolden more LGBTQs to file suits and to compel more judicial officials to bow and bend to LGBTQ will.
His true goal was to defy God and force Christians and believers to participate in the defiance.
LGBTQs deserve to be treated as equals and guaranteed the same protections as any other American citizen — they need to stop attacking the Christian community. If they want to live ungodly lives, America gives them that right; they have that individual choice; they’re allowed those constitutional liberties. But Christians have the right to live as Christians. And when it comes to America’s roots, it’s not the LGBTQ perversions, but the Judeo-Christian way of thinking, based on the Bible itself, that’s foundational to the government, to the culture, to all of society.
It’s Christians, not “queer people,” as Zinski called them, who formed the basis of American Exceptionalism — the concept of God-given rights and liberties.
