Washington has another new bronze-colored statue to join its “poop monument” counterpart — a tiki torch statue in Freedom Plaza just a few blocks from the White House.

The new statue shows a fist grasping onto a tiki torch. A plaque underneath says the satirical piece is titled, “The Donald J. Trump Enduring Flame.”

“This monument pays tribute to President Donald Trump and the ‘very fine people’ he boldly stood to defend when they marched in Charlottesville, Virginia,” the plaque reads.

“While many have called them white supremacists and neo-nazis, President Trump’s voice rang out above the rest to remind all that they were ‘treated absolutely unfairly,’” it says. “This monument stands as an everlasting reminder of that bold proclamation.”

The statue seems to be in place to mock Mr. Trump’s defense of those who participated in the “Unite the Right” White nationalist rally in Charlottesville in 2017. One woman died and more than 30 were injured after the rally grew violent and a man drove into the crowd that was counterprotesting.

Two police officers from Virginia also died after the helicopter they were using to monitor the rally crashed.

“You also had some very fine people on both sides,” Mr. Trump said in 2017, referring to people demonstrating about the removal of Confederate statues.

The permit for the piece has reportedly been granted to Civic Crafted LLC. It will be up until Thursday, just days before the Nov. 5 election.

Its appearance comes just days after the poop monument “honoring” the people who took part in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol. The bronze-colored desk placed across from the Capitol featured an emoji-style turd along with a nameplate of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat.

The plaque underneath said the memorial “honors the brave men and women who broke into the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021 to loot, urinate, and defecate throughout those hallowed halls in order to overturn an election.”

“President Trump celebrates these heroes of January 6th as ‘unbelievable patriots’ and ‘warriors.’ This monument stands as a testament to their daring sacrifice and lasting legacy.”

The monument satirically honors those who broke into the Capitol building, after Mr. Trump lost the 2020 election to President Biden, to stop the certification of the election results.

The same group was given the permit for both pieces.
