Bruce Springsteen will hold a series of concerts in swing states with Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Barack Obama, the Harris campaign announced Tuesday.
The concerts will kick off Thursday in Atlanta followed by a second in Philadelphia, with additional concerts to be announced soon.
Campaign officials view the “When we vote we win” concerts as part of a massive get-out-the-vote series. Ms. Harris and Mr. Obama will be alongside Mr. Springsteen at the Atlanta and Philadelphia shows.
A Harris campaign official said it hopes the events will “capture grassroots” enthusiasm.
Earlier this month, Mr. Springsteen endorsed Ms. Harris in an Instagram video in which he called former President Donald Trump “the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime.”
In the video, Mr. Springsteen sits at dinner and says Ms. Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, “are committed to a vision of this country that respects and includes everyone regardless of class, religion, race, political point of view or sexual identity.”
In 2016, Mr. Springsteen played three songs at a Philadelphia rally for Hillary Clinton on the eve of the election, and in 2008 he played a set there to rally Mr. Obama’s campaign.
