Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has exited the team’s game against the Carolina Panthers with a rib injury.

The team said Daniels’ return is questionable.

The dynamic rookie walked gingerly off of the field after leading the Commanders to a field goal on his offense’s first drive. The No. 2 pick in this year’s draft ran for 50 yards on three carries.

On the sideline, trainers examined Daniels in the blue medical tent before taking him to the locker room. The LSU product slammed his helmet in frustration before leaving the field.

Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota took over for Washington with a 10-0 lead.
