OPINION:
“Nearly 7.3 million migrants have illegally crossed the southwest border under President Biden’s watch, a number greater than the population of 36 individual states,” Fox News reported in February.
“If the current pace of illegal immigration does not slow down, fiscal year 2024 will break last year’s record of 2,475,669 southwest border encounters — a number that by itself exceeds the population of New Mexico, a border state,” Fox News reported.
But then it got worse. “The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco estimates that 3.8 million undocumented immigrants will enter the U.S. in fiscal year 2024 at January’s rates,” Center Square reported last month.
Suffice to say that the flow of foreigners across the U.S.-Mexico border has reached record highs under President Biden and his border czar, Vice President Kamala Harris. They have bent over backward to make it easy for people not only to enter America but also to stay here — and U.S. taxpayers are footing the bill to the tune of billions of dollars.
Entrepreneur Elon Musk took to X, his social media platform, to explain what is going on.
“Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!”
Hang on. While it sounds conspiratorial — “last election” — Mr. Musk broke it all down.
“Let me explain: if even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible, that would be about 2 million new legal voters in 4 years. The voting margin in the swing states is often less than 20 thousand votes. That means if the ’Democratic’ Party succeeds, there will be no more swing states!!” he wrote.
“Moreover, the Biden/Harris administration has been flying ’asylum seekers,’ who are fast-tracked to citizenship, directly into swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Arizona. It is a surefire way to win every election. America then becomes a one-party state and Democracy is over. The only ’elections’ will be the Democratic Party primaries. This already happened in California many years ago, following the 1986 amnesty.
“The only thing holding California back from extreme socialism and suffocating government policies is that people can leave California and still remain in America. Once the whole country is controlled by one party, there will be no escape. Everywhere in America will be like the nightmare that is downtown San Francisco,” Mr. Musk wrote.
And there it is. That is the real plan behind the seeming chaos at the southern border — it’s not chaos at all, it’s a well-orchestrated plan to alter elections in the United States forever.
The plan is simple: Let foreigners in, give them money, health care and college, and make them Democrats for life. It’s been going on for years.
Take Virginia. The state was a GOP stalwart for ages but shifted purple two decades ago and now is a solid blue state. “An estimated 335,000 illegal immigrants live in Virginia, with 53% living at or above 200% poverty rate,” according to a 2023 report. “The illegal immigrant population of Virginia makes up 3.9% of its total population.”
That’s more than enough to alter elections — and it has.
Mr. Musk’s post came in response to Sen. Mike Lee’s tweet that “thousands of noncitizen voter files” were being found nationwide.
“Democrats insisted ’noncitizens don’t vote.’ On that basis, they blocked the SAVE Act. Now that thousands of noncitizen voter files are being discovered in state after state, Democrats are trying to stop those states from removing noncitizens from their voter files,” the Utah Republican wrote.
His post followed a report that the Department of Justice sued Alabama for its recent effort to remove more than 3,000 names from its voter rolls. But Alabama’s Republican secretary of state, Wes Allen, said the state was simply removing 3,251 people previously identified as noncitizens.
“I was elected Secretary of State by the people of Alabama, and it is my Constitutional duty to ensure that only American citizens vote in our elections,” Mr. Allen said in a statement.
How dare he.
While Mr. Musk is wrong as often as he’s right, he’s spot-on with this theory. Democrats want to let millions of foreigners into the country, make them legal and plant them in all the swing states to change the outcome of elections. It’s that simple.
