OPINION:
If you went into Wednesday night’s vice presidential debate believing what the radical left told you, your ideas of the Democratic Party were swiftly corrected (“Vance, Walz battle over border, economy, abortion in election’s final debate,” web, Oct. 1).
The Democrats and CBS News agreed that the media would not be doing any fact-checking of the debaters. They made a contract with all parties. Yet as usual, the political left couldn’t be faithful to that pact.
The moderators jumped into the debate when it was clear that the “woke” Tim Walz, Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, was doing poorly. If President Biden was doing so badly that Ms. Harris had to replace him as presidential candidate, why didn’t she step in sooner to put her ideas into action? Because she didn’t have any idea. She supported all that the Biden administration did and said.
Just as ABC News lied to us about its debate rules, the radical liberals of the Democratic Party have been lying to us for years. They will find some silly reason to ignore their own promises. Laws are for everyone else. Beware of the Democratic Party and all it promises to do.
