Fans can’t get enough of Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner boasted the best-selling jersey in the NFL this week, according to merchandise seller Fanatics.
Daniels topped the leaderboard after a pair of breakout performances against the Cincinnati Bengals and the Arizona Cardinals over the past two weeks, leading the Commanders to two dominant wins on the road.
The impressive sales are only the latest accolade for the rookie’s record-setting first month in the NFL. He’s already earned a pair of Rookie of the Week awards and was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week after the Bengals game.
For years, fans of the Burgundy and Gold had a difficult decision to make. Would they grab a classic jersey, like those belonging to Sean Taylor or John Riggins? Or would they opt for a less flashy contemporary star, like defensive lineman Jon Allen or punter Tress Way?
After Daniels’ hot start, the decision got easier. Fans are clamoring for the No. 5 jerseys.
