One thing is for certain: If elected president, Vice President Kamala Harris will lead from behind.

It is obvious that President Biden lost his marbles long ago and is merely a figurehead. A good leader steps in when there is a void in leadership, so the question arises: Who has been in charge for the past few years?

The irony of the situation is that if Ms. Harris has been leading this country, she owns the administration’s disastrous policies. If she hasn’t been in charge, that’s a monumental failure of leadership.

Will she move to end the longshoremen’s strike, or will she let Mr. Biden take the fall for inaction? Her pattern of avoiding critical issues is a big clue to her intentions.

It is also not lost on the American people that by returning to Washington, she prioritized fundraising over addressing the devastation of Hurricane Helene. This is especially so since she knows Mr. Biden is retired from active service.

Ms. Harris has been on the wrong side of common sense for her entire career. In Democratic politics, that makes her a winner. The losers are the American people.
