McDonald’s is debuting a McValue menu on Jan. 7, the fast food titan announced.
Customers will be able to buy one item at full price off the menu and get a second item of equal or lesser value for an extra $1, McDonald’s explained in a release Friday.
The breakfast items on the menu are the sausage McMuffin, burrito and biscuit along with hash browns.
The lunch and dinner options are the McChicken sandwich, the double cheeseburger, six McNuggets and small fries.
Meanwhile, the company’s $5 Meal Deal, which offers a McDouble burger or McChicken sandwich, four McNuggets, small fries and a small drink, has been extended through summer 2025 as part of the McValue rollout.
“When it comes to value, we know there’s no one size fits all. We’ve worked closely with our franchisees to create a new platform that will let our customers define value on their own terms,” McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger said in the release.
The McValue menu was hinted at in the company’s third-quarter earnings call, where CEO Chris Kempczinski noted that the meal deal increased the traffic share of low-income customers for the first time in over a year.
Customers buying the meal deal also visited McDonald’s locations more frequently, McDonald’s Chief Financial Officer Ian Borden explained.
