The cost of the average season ticket plan for Washington Commanders games at Northwest Stadium in Landover is going up by double digits for the 2025-2026 season.
There are about 30,000 season tickets up for renewal heading into next season with an 11% weighted average increase across all plans, a Commanders spokesperson said.
On the whole, more than 50% of season ticket accounts will see a price increase of 13% or less, with about 10,000 seats going up by 8% or less in price and 30% of accounts seeing a price increase of 5% or less.
The average season ticket holder will pay another $15.58 per month on annual plans, and the average season ticket holder with seats in the upper level of the stadium will see an increase of less than $10 per game ticket, the spokesperson said.
The average season ticket price increase ahead of the 2024 Commanders season was 8.9%, a team source told the Washington Times amid last year’s season ticket renewal period.
The move comes amidst a renaissance for the team on and off the field coinciding with the arrivals of rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, new staff led by coach Dan Quinn and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, and first-year general manager Adam Peters.
The season ticket inventory for 2024 was sold out, and the Commanders had overall season ticket sales at more than double the average rate across the NFL, putting them in the top five for season ticket sales.
The team also led the NFL in new club-level seats sold for both the 2023 and 2024 seasons and the number of season ticket members increased 11% year-over-year, the team spokesperson said.
In addition to the season ticket growth, the Commanders have sold 30,000 more tickets overall compared to the previous year, with the second-highest number of individual tickets sold and the fourth-highest number of group tickets sold, the spokesperson said.
Despite the demand, an NFL league source told the Washington Times that the average ticket price for a Commanders game, at $150, is cheaper than the league average at $185 per ticket. The league source said the average blended general attendance and club ticket price for a Commanders game is the second-lowest in the NFL.
