OPINION:
In October 2023, tens of thousands descended upon the festival grounds at Lake Eola in Orlando, Florida, for a “Come Out With Pride” day-long celebration of the LGBTQ lifestyle.
The grand marshal was an 11-year-old transgender child. That is to say, the grand marshal was an eleven-year-old boy who was pretending to be a girl. Where were his parents? Right next to him, beaming and smiling.
This is where the evil really ratchets. It’s one thing for members of the LGBTQ community to hold parades, protests, public rallies, and the like. That is their right; that is their constitutionally protected authority to peacefully assemble. But to rope in children to this madness and advance a narrative that boys can be girls, and girls can be boys, simply by personal whim, wish, and will — this is a new form of evil that’s tantamount, in many instances, to the sexual grooming of minors. That parents would subject their own kids to such insanity shows how perilously close to doomsday America has moved. As Genesis 1:27 states, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (NKJV)
Anything else — anything outside the basic male-female structure — it’s not of God.
It’s from Satan.
And if we don’t fight for the basic creations of God — the male; the female; the joining of a man and woman in marriage, where both leave their parents and cleave to each other; and the traditional family with a mother and father at the head of the home, raising virtuous children and teaching them the godly way to go — if we don’t fight for this model, then American society is lost. Family is the foundation of community, and communities are what weave together to form a nation. It’s not enough to simply go to church on Sunday and turn blind eyes to the moral depravity that’s destroying children, families, and society Monday through Saturday.
“God-Given Or Bust: Defeating Marxism and Saving America With Biblical Truths,” is Cheryl Chumley’s latest book due in bookstores on Jan. 14, 2025. In America, either rights come from God – or they don’t. This is the ultimate war and “God-Given or Bust” tells how patriots can win.
We have to call out the evil for what it is — evil. We have to fight the evil as if our own lives depended upon it — because they do.
Pseudoscience is having its way with our world, and nowhere is that being felt with greater impact than on the youngest and most innocent of God’s creations: the little children.
Parenting is not simply about loving a child. That’s cheap. That’s easy. That’s a cop-out and a derelict of duty. Parenting is about raising a child to be a moral, principled, productive member of society — and that’s the hard part. It takes guts, courage, determination, and a willingness to stand firm in the face of tears and tempers. It also takes a commitment to truth and integrity so that when the fantasies of youth arise, as they undoubtedly will, parents can reel them in and, without dampening the imagination or creative drive, nonetheless point to the differences between myth and reality.
This abuse of children must stop.
It’s not a “journey” — a spiritual skip down Ethereal Lane. It’s not a game — do not pass go, do not collect $200. It’s a sacred life. It’s not the child who is supposed to take the lead while the parents follow; it’s the parents and caretakers who are supposed to lead while the child follows — and in cases where the child refuses to follow, they are then to use wisdom and discernment to determine whether to compel obedience. Parents have that right; they invoke it all the time. They make their kids go to school. They make them brush their teeth. They make them go to bed, eat vegetables, and tell them not to put the cat in the dryer or let the dog eat cotton candy, happiness be danged.
Why not make them understand their God-given, biological sex? Parenting is not a popularity contest. And a happy child is not automatically the mark of good parenting. After all, a beastly, disobedient, rude, and obnoxious little boy can seem very happy when he gets his way. But he wouldn’t be a badge of honor for the parents.
Happiness, as the world means it, is truly overrated — and underwhelming. It’s fleeting, it’s dependent on circumstances, and it’s ever-changing. It should not be the driving force of parents to provide for their children. Rather, parents should be most concerned with not screwing up what God created — with raising their children to serve out the mission God made them for and in a way that honors and respects self, family, and society. Ultimately, it’s God who should be glorified by His children, and parents play a big role in ensuring that outcome.
