After receiving 313 electoral votes and winning the popular vote with over 75 million Americans, it’s evident that many people believe that a second term with Donald Trump in the White House is the way forward for our nation.

In these challenging times, we face concerns about rising inflation, a stagnant economy, and the disturbing trends of wokeism in public schools. These issues have left many of us yearning for change and returning to fundamental values. Regardless of our political affiliations — be it Republican, Democrat, or Independent — there are countless Americans who cherish their country and seek a future grounded in the values and principles that have long defined our nation.

As a pastor and Christian apologist, I firmly believe that former President Trump is dedicated to protecting our religious freedoms. While I cannot personally vouch for his faith or his beliefs regarding the Bible, Jesus as Lord, or his views on the afterlife, it’s clear that he recognizes the importance of faith and its values in our society. Love him or hate him, the truth is that Mr. Trump has remained committed to protecting our rights as believers and continues to champion our First Amendment rights, which resonate deeply within our faith community.

Lest we forget, in his first term as president, Mr. Trump nominated and the Senate confirmed an unprecedented three conservative judges (Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett). With these appointments to the highest court in the land, Mr. Trump secured a majority that exists in unison to prevent the government from interfering with an American’s religious freedoms.

First Liberty, the largest non-profit organization in the United States, released an article, “What a Trump Presidency Means for Religious Freedom.” In this article, Jorge Gomez illustrates how the Biden administration has undermined our religious freedom.

“The Biden administration radically redefined Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Those changes disproportionally harmed faith-based colleges and universities, and effectively pressured students and teachers of faith to hide their religious beliefs or risk discipline or termination,” the article stated.

Under Mr. Trump’s second term in office, these Executive Orders will be uprooted and replaced with more faith-based initiatives that will open the door for more religious protections, including the establishment of the Faith Office that will be closely linked to Mr. Trump’s administration.

Another significant concern for Americans is the threat that Communist China poses to the United States and the world at large. Sheng Xue, a Chinese-Canadian journalist, presents what I consider to be one of the strongest arguments for why, under Mr. Trump’s leadership, China may not be as formidable a threat to America and the international community. Xue reminds the world that during Mr. Trump’s first administration, he managed to control Communist China better than any preceding American president.

  • Mr. Trump placed tariffs on millions of Chinese imports.
  • Mr. Trump closed the Chinese Consulate in Houston, TX.
  • Mr. Trump labeled Huawei and ZTE as threats to national security.
  • Mr. Trump imposed sanctions on various Chinese military firms for engaging in espionage activities within the United States.
  • Mr. Trump barred several Chinese diplomats of the Communist Party from immigrating to America.

The Guttmacher Institute, a left-leaning research organization, stated, “President-Elect Trump, along with his Secretary of Health and Human Services and political appointees within the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, will likely direct that agency to severely restrict — and potentially eliminate — access to mifepristone, one of the drugs used in a common medication abortion regimen.”

Although Mr. Trump has not been exactly clear on how he will eliminate mifepristone, the pro-life community nonetheless remains optimistic that a second Trump administration will seek efforts to restrict access, if not impose bans on various mailed-in abortion pills.

Drawing from his first term, we can anticipate a strong focus on policies that aim to protect the safety and well-being of American families.

As we look forward to the prospect of Mr. Trump’s second presidency, it’s inspiring to envision the possibilities for our nation. However, it’s crucial that we remember to pray for a smooth and peaceful transition between the Biden administration and the incoming Trump administration. Let us come together in prayer for President Trump and his Cabinet that he is assembling — that they will be leaders who will uphold the Constitution and preserve our religious freedoms while also focusing on creating a strong economy that generates jobs, lowers inflation, and secures our borders!
