Sumo wrestling may be in the future for Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons. The three-time Pro Bowler went toe-to-toe with a sumo wrestler during his tour of Asia with Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud.
In a viral video, a shirtless Parsons tried to use leverage to force the sumo wrestler out of the ring. He was unsuccessful.
The wrestler used momentum to swing the linebacker off the mat. Stroud, who was watching from the side, taunted Parsons with a “too small” celebration, which the sumo wrestler echoed.
“Run it back,” Parsons said, asking for a rematch. “I’m about to hit legs every day.”
The Cowboys star kept his legs churning in the next matchup and moved the mammoth wrestler off the mat. Football fans on social media were impressed by both parties.
“Stalemating Micah like that though,” one X user said. Won’t be long before we see the 1st big Sumo wrestler with great feet being brought in for an NFL workout.”
Stroud and Parsons’ trip to Asia has made several headlines over the past week, from their antics with sumo wrestlers to a trip to the baseball diamond.
The duo threw ceremonial first pitches at a Tokyo Giants game. Stroud tossed a strike down the middle while Parsons’ pitch bounced to the plate.
