Former President Donald Trump’s Truth Social account posted a video that showed what future news headlines could look like if he won the November election, and one referred to a “unified Reich.”

The 30-second video was shared on his social media site Monday. It features a narrator asking the question, “What happens after Donald Trump wins?”

The voice then goes on to read different headlines from hypothetical front pages of newspapers, including “What’s next for America?” where slightly blurred text reads “industrial strength significantly increased …the creation of a unified Reich.”

Other headlines include “Economy booms!” “Border is closed” with “15 million illegals deported” written below it, and “No More Forever War.”

It appears the video is no longer on his page.

The video was criticized by the Biden campaign for “echoing Nazi Germany.”

Trump posts a new ad foreshadowing a second Trump term that says he will create a ’UNIFIED REICH,’ echoing Nazi Germany,” the Biden campaign said in a social media post.

The video appears to be made from some sort of video template, and the line about the “unified Reich” seems to be copied verbatim from a Wikipedia page on World War I, where it says “German industrial strength and production had significantly increased after 1871, driven by the creation of a unified Reich.”

“This was not a campaign video, it was created by a random account online and reposted by a staffer who clearly did not see the word, while the president was in court,” Karoline Leavitt, the campaign press secretary, said in a statement.

However, this misstep comes after Mr. Trump in the past has been slammed for using language associated with Nazi Germany. He has called his political opponents “vermin” and has said that illegal immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country.”
