U.S. Capitol Police said they launched an investigation Wednesday after a small bag of cocaine was found inside their command post.
Authorities said the cocaine bag was discovered around 1 p.m. Wednesday when an officer spotted it lying in the middle of a second-floor hallway.
Capitol Police said the hallway sees various contractors and employees pass through it daily.
It’s also right by the prisoner processing area, the crime scene unit and the intel processing department, police said.
USCP said an investigation will involve DNA testing.
