The Biden campaign will be hosting a big fundraiser next month in Los Angeles, and has enlisted the help of some big names including former President Barack Obama, George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

The event is set to take place next month, and Mr. Clooney and Ms. Roberts will be running a contest to get the attention of grassroots donors across social media platforms, according to NBC News, which first reported the event. The stars’ names will also be seen in campaign emails and texts.

The event comes as Mr. Biden and former President Donald Trump attempt to out-raise one another as they both aim for second stints in the White House.

The Biden campaign said it raised over $90 million in March, with more than $192 million in cash on hand. The amount is well over the $93.1 million the Trump campaign and Republican National Committee had on hand entering April. Mr. Trump’s campaign and the RNC brought in a combined $65.6 million in March.

Mr. Biden has enlisted former presidents to help him raise funds before. In March, Mr. Obama and former President Bill Clinton participated in a fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall that brought in over $25 million.

A source told NBC News that Mr. Biden will also be hosting a fundraising event with Mr. Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, sometime early this summer.
