Scott Swift, father of pop icon Taylor Swift, will not face charges after a heated confrontation with the Australian paparazzi.
Mr. Swift and one of Ms. Swift’s security guards tussled with photographer Ben McDonald at Sydney’s Neutral Bay Wharf, where the pop star was coming ashore on Feb. 27.
According to Mr. McDonald, Ms. Swift’s guard pushed an umbrella into his face and Mr. Swift punched him.
Soon after Mr. McDonald publicized the altercation, Ms. Swift’s team accused the Australian media of being dangerously aggressive and denied wrongdoing.
Police began investigating the incident shortly after but announced Wednesday that no further action will be taken.
The incident occurred just as Ms. Swift finished the Australian leg of her monumental Eras Tour, where she played for more than 600,000 fans across the country.
