Medicare for All. Health care for illegal immigrants. Undermining American energy production. Banning gas-powered cars. Mass censorship of free speech.

These dangerous left-wing policies were once confined to a small portion of the Democratic base, but they are now creeping into mainstream public discourse. They have become ideological pillars of the American left.

Did you ever wonder where these ideas come from?

They were thought up by bureaucrats in Brussels and are common in the European Union. Thanks to the EU’s radical agenda, its member nations have become hotbeds for illegal immigration, the home to mass censorship of free speech, and case studies for the failures of socialism. And these left-wing ideas from Europe are now threatening the United States more than ever as our leaders continue to try to mirror the EU’s misguided policies.

If an ocean isn’t enough to stop the EU’s failed socialist agenda, how do we stop it from being adopted by the American left and infiltrating communities here at home?

That’s where the EU-US Forum comes in. The EU-US Forum is a new nonprofit organization seeking to educate the public on both sides of the Atlantic about the disastrous policies being advocated by the political elite in Brussels and the bleak future that the world faces if we continue following suit in the U.S.

As a senior White House adviser at the State Department in the Trump administration, I witnessed firsthand the impact that the United States and the nations of Europe have on Western civilization. We stand at a crucial point in history.

The Biden administration is taking us down a path that resembles the European decline driven by bureaucrats in Brussels, and Americans are paying the price. Facing record inflation caused by government taxation and regulation, feeling the lethal effects of a historic border crisis, seeing mass censorship online, facing the consequences of the erosion of meritocracy in the name of “social justice” or “equality of outcomes,” and seeing gasoline prices skyrocket because of environmental extremism.

Over the next decade, we must decide to either continue on this course of destructive policy ideas being permeated by the European Union or to change for the better. If we don’t tackle the problem at its source, the United States will cede its position of world leadership to our enemies, and Western civilization will be irreparably damaged.

To be blunt, our national sovereignty, individual freedom and economic prosperity are under attack, and if we don’t take action to raise awareness about the failed policies coming out of the EU, our future generations will face devastating consequences.

In order to highlight the absurdity and danger of European-style socialism, the EU-US Forum will focus closely on exposing the harmful effects it is having on five key political and policy areas:

• Governmental spending and taxation.

• Environmental extremism and overregulation.

• Political and digital censorship.

• Border and immigration policy.

• The erosion of meritocracy.

These cornerstone issues will help the EU-US Forum provide abundant and clear examples of how European policies and ideas are destroying jobs, punishing businesses, infringing on freedom, and threatening the security of free countries.

The EU-US Forum believes the United States and Europe will soon be forced to make a choice: Either recommit to the ideals of freedom, fiscal responsibility, sovereignty, individual rights and free-market economics, or succumb to a future of fear and economic misery. We will consistently advocate those policy ideals and principles that made Western nations the freest, most prosperous, most secure in world history.

The future of America and the world is hanging in the balance, and there is no time to waste. The EU-US Forum is taking immediate action to expose the EU’s failed political ideology and organize American conservatives to fight back.
