The United Nations convened its first session on Jan. 10-14, 1946, in London, with U.S. Secretary of State James F. Byrnes declaring: “The United Nations were obliged to unite in war to preserve their common freedoms. The United Nations are now committed to remain united in order to preserve their common peace. We won the war by fighting together. We must now preserve the peace by working together.”

Today, Americans can ask, what happened? How did our country’s noble ambitions degrade in a hopelessly misguided bureaucratic U.N. 78 years later?

The United Nations has become a global stage for thugs and terrorists; a de facto enemy of the United States that helps murderous Mexican drug cartels smuggle criminals into our country; a metastatic bureaucracy that demands more money and more power; and, hitting rock bottom, a relief staff in the Gaza Strip that willfully cheered and joined Hamas on Oct. 7 in the worst holocaust since the Holocaust.

The debate should now be, when do we withdraw and evict and let the U.N. rent office space at the World Economic Forum, or perhaps in Qatar, which pampers Hamas billionaires?

Spotlight for thugs and terrorists

Let’s look at a speech at the U.N. a few months ago, delivered by the foreign minister of Iran, the greatest terror state on Earth, a country that repeatedly promises to annihilate another U.N. member, Israel, as it slaughtered Syrian civilians and financed the murders of Americans.

“I say frankly to the American statesmen, who are now managing the genocide in Palestine, that we do not welcome an expansion of the war in the region. But if the genocide in Gaza continues, they will not be spared from this fire,” said mullah mouthpiece Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. He essentially threatened war on the U.S. Still, Iran has and is waging war against us through its proxies.

Iran is basically a collection of cowards. It pays oil money to operational foreign terrorists to let them do the actual butchering as the mullahs sip tea in Tehran. President Biden removed sanctions on Iran, which freed up lots of cash for terrorism.

Gaza

In February, the Israel Defense Forces began presenting evidence on how the United Nations participated in the mass murder of Jews. It said that at least a dozen staff members of the U.N. Relief and Works Agency, or UNRWA, “actively participated” in the killing of over 1,200 innocent Jews.

“In addition to these 12 workers, we have significant indications based on intelligence, that over 30 UNRWA workers participated in the massacre, facilitated the taking of hostages, looted and stole from Israeli communities, and more,” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told the foreign press, according to The Times of Israel.

The IDF released photographs of murderous UNRWA officials. It also showed photo evidence of how a main Hamas tunnel, an intelligence and weapons hub, led directly to a UNRWA school.

A school, you ask? Yes. Besides killing Jews, UNRWA teachers are embedded in Hamas, programming children in Gaza to hate Jews, according to investigations by United Nations Watch, a Swiss nongovernmental organization in Geneva.

On Jan. 30, UN Watch issued a report, “The Case Against UNRWA: How U.N. schools use our tax money to teach Palestinian children to hate and kill Jews.”

The report said UN Watch uncovered a Telegram group chat of 3,000 UNRWA teachers “showing widespread support for Hamas terrorism.”

“Don’t let your government continue spending your money on the radicalization of Gaza,” UN Watch said. “Humanitarian aid and UNRWA’s toxic mandate must be immediately decoupled.”

UN Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer testified on Jan. 30 before a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee. He mocked U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for expressing shock about UNRWA’s killing of Jews.

Mr. Neuer testified that Mr. Guterres “could not possibly have been shocked.” He said UN Watch has sent the U.N. a multitude of reports over nine years on “evidence of widespread and systematic incitement to jihad terrorism, the praise of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, calls to slaughter Jews on the part of UNRWA teachers, school principals and other employees.”

Mr. Guterres, by the way, is an international socialist, climate alarmist and aspiring global autocrat.

“Humanity has opened the gates to hell,” he said last year, using the type of extreme climate rhetoric that means “give me money.”

Indeed, he wants G20 nations to cough up $500 billion a year for his Sustainable Development Goals program, with all the cash first flowing through the United Nations or, put another way, through him so that he can gain more power as a world grant-maker — a global George Soros.

U.S. southern border

On the U.S. homefront, the U.N. is siding with the invaders — and cartels that effectively control the Mexican border. The cartels raked in over $13 billion in 2021 alone by smuggling criminals and others across the border, according to reports from Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee.

U.N. staffers are handing out cash, debit cards and other goodies to make sure they make it to their cartel handlers, who demand a fee. This means the U.S., as the U.N.’s largest donor at $18 billion in 2022, is funding the invasion and the cartels.

The Center for Immigration Studies’ Todd Bensman, a former Texas public safety intelligence analyst, has examined U.N. public documents throughout Mr. Biden’s offensive to change America’s population.

“In a nutshell,” Mr. Bensman wrote on Jan. 24, “the U.N. and its advocacy partners are planning to spread $372 million in ‘Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA)’, and ‘Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MCA)’ to some 624,000 immigrants in-transit to the United States during 2024. That money is most often handed out, other UN documents show, as pre-paid, rechargeable debit cards, but also’ hard ‘cash in envelopes,’ bank transfers, and mobile transfers the U.S. border-bound travelers can use for whatever they want.”

Sen. Mike Lee, Utah Republican, fumed: “The U.N. is financing the invasion at our southern border. This is the last straw. This is appalling. U.S. support for the U.N. must end.”

The U.N. has chosen itself to investigate Israel’s UNRWA’s Hamas alliance. It is already complaining that the Israeli government isn’t sharing evidence.

Since it apparently plans to exonerate itself, I would say to Mr. Guterres that Israel and its supporters in America don’t trust you. UN Watch says it has provided years of evidence that UNRWA is a front for Hamas, but you didn’t care.
