Hundreds of paratroopers from several nations parachuted into a historic D-Day drop zone in France on Wednesday to recreate the airborne liberation of Normandy 80 years ago.

Hundreds of personnel from the UK, Canada, Belgium and the US jumped from a British Royal Air Force A400M transport plane alongside other allied personnel and historic aircraft.

Following the airdrop, an aerial display by the British Army’s Red Devils was held.
