Dan Snyder doesn’t seem to be planning a return to the D.C. region. After donating his Maryland estate to the American Cancer Society last year, the former Washington Commanders owner wants to sell his Fairfax County estate for $60 million.

The $60 million price tag would make the 16,000-square-foot mansion the most expensive home ever sold in the area, according to the Washington Business Journal.

Known as “River View,” the luxurious property was built in 2018 and features 400 feet of water frontage along the Potomac River, a 15-seat movie theater, a three-car garage with charging stations and a spa with steam rooms.

Dan and Tanya Snyder paid $48 million for the mansion, making it the priciest property in the region. The property is listed by Heather Corey of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, who sold the estate to the Snyders in 2021.

River View is the second former Snyder home to hit the market in the last two years.

The Snyders, who now live in England, had difficulty offloading their home in Potomac, Maryland last year after selling the Commanders. The couple asked for $49 million for the 25,000-square-foot property, but couldn’t find a buyer.

They cut the price to $34.9 million but decided to donate the home to the American Cancer Society after more than a year on the market.

After a few months, the charity relisted the property for $34.9 million — officials said they would use any funds from the sale to support cancer research.
