Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce isn’t sweating typos on the inside of the championship rings for their victory in last February’s Super Bowl.
The inside features the Chiefs’ scores on their way to repeating as NFL champions.
The initial playoff seeding of each of their opponents is also featured, but the ring lists the Miami Dolphins as the seventh seed when, in reality, they were the sixth seed.
“I don’t give an [expletive.] I like that we didn’t give an [expletive] about what seed Miami was. Yeah, they were the seventh, who cares; they could have done no seeds on the side of them and I would have been fine. I think it makes it more unique,” Kelce told his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, on their “New Heights” podcast Wednesday.
The Chiefs, the third seed in the AFC, beat the Dolphins, 26-7, in a frigid game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The actual seventh seed in the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers, lost in Buffalo to the second-seeded Bills, 31-17.
Memorabilia manufacturer Jostens made the rings.
“This incredible piece of wearable art is a true symbol of the journey that the team took to secure the franchise’s fourth Lombardi Trophy, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent Chiefs Kingdom as champions once again,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said in a release from Jostens.
