Pop superstar Taylor Swift confirmed at a concert in Liverpool, England, Thursday that her Eras Tour will end in December. The show at the home of the Beatles was the tour’s 100th.
“The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December. … It feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so much fun for us that we wanted to do 100 shows, 150-something shows,” Ms. Swift said.
The last U.S. performance of the tour is slated for Nov. 3 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Then Ms. Swift and her troupe will hit BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, to end the tour Dec. 8.
In total, the Eras Tour will have had 152 shows across five continents, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The tour, which features music from across Ms. Swift’s discography and every era of her 18-year career, opened in Glendale, Arizona, on March 18, 2023.
The tour has been extended multiple times and spawned a concert film, which depicted three shows in Inglewood, California, last August and grossed $261.7 million at the box office and became the most-watched concert film of all time.
The overwhelming popularity of Ms. Swift has driven a great deal of American tourism to her foreign tour dates. Crowds at four shows in Paris in May were 20% American.
United Airlines flights from the U.S. to Milan, Italy, and Munich, Germany, in July, coinciding with concerts at San Siro Stadium and the Olympiastadion, have 45% more demand this year versus last year.
