The Washington Commanders still catch stray shots during the offseason, even as new owner Josh Harris works to rehabilitate the franchise’s image. Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams highlighted the Commanders’ “miserable” fan base as the worst in the league.

Adams took the shot at D.C. fans during Monday’s episode of “Hot Ones Versus” with Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Though he first mentioned the Eagles, Patriots and Bills when discussing the NFL’s worst fan bases, the Raiders star eventually landed on the Commanders.

“The Washington Football Team, they obviously just miserable because the stadium is horrible, the city is not great at all,” Adams said. “I’m probably going to get somebody at my front door after this, but that’s just how I feel.”

The Commanders’ stadium, formerly known as FedEx Field, has a dismal reputation in NFL circles. In recent years, videos from the venue showing burst pipes and failed railings have gone viral on social media. A 2023 ranking by The Athletic marked the Commanders’ home as the worst in the league.

Commanders fans could have a shot to prove Adams wrong in 2025 when the Raiders visit Commanders Field for a regular-season matchup.
