Rep. Lauren Boebert wants to know where President Biden is after he dropped out of the presidential race.

“I demand proof of life from Joe Biden today by 5 p.m.,” Ms. Boebert, Colorado Republican, wrote in an X post Monday.

“He needs to get in front of some camera and discuss if he’s aware that he dropped out,” she said. “Hiding is completely unacceptable.”

Mr. Biden announced he was dropping out of the presidential race Sunday in a letter posted on X. In another post a short time later, he endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to take over his spot on the ballot as the Democratic nominee.

He has yet to make a public appearance or do a television interview to talk about his change of plans. In the letter, he said he would be addressing the country later this week “in more detail” about his position.

Other Republicans in Congress have also pondered where the president is.

“Where is Joe Biden? No, really… where is he?” Rep. Chip Roy of Texas wrote on X Sunday.

Other Biden critics have questioned the look of his letter.

“Why didn’t Biden use official stationery? Why does Biden’s signature look forged? Where is Joe?” one user posted on X with a picture of different signatures of Mr. Biden.

Mr. Biden has been isolating at his Rehoboth Beach home in Delaware after being diagnosed with Covid-19 last week.
