Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance called President Biden “the worst President” in his lifetime after Mr. Biden dropped out of the presidential race Sunday.

Joe Biden has been the worst President in my lifetime and Kamala Harris has been right there with him every step of the way,” Mr. Vance, a U.S. senator from Ohio, posted on X. “Over the last four years she co-signed Biden’s open border and green scam policies that drove up the cost of housing and groceries.

“She owns all of these failures, and she lied for nearly four years about Biden’s mental capacity – saddling the nation with a president who can’t do the job,” he said.

He said he and Mr. Trump “are ready to save America, whoever’s at the top of the Democrat ticket. Bring it on.”

Mr. Biden announced he was dropping out of the race Sunday afternoon in a letter posted to X. Shortly after, another post from him endorsed Ms. Harris, the vice president, to take over his spot on the ballot.

Mr. Trump called him the “worst president” and said Ms. Harris would be easier to beat in November than Mr. Biden if she is chosen as the democratic nominee.
