Lara Trump, the co-chair of the Republican National Committee and Donald Trump’s daguther-in-law spoke to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday night, giving an emotional description of the assassination attempt against the former president in Pennsylvania last Saturday.

“Our family has faced our fair share of death threats, mysterious powders sent to our homes. Tasteless and violent comments directed towards us on social media. But none of that prepares you as a daughter in law to watch in real time someone try to kill a person you love,” she said.

Lara Trump described highlights and accomplishments of the previous Trump administration.

She also said Donald Trump has kept fighting for the United States and the American people and refused to be derailed by a multitude of legal challenges.

“I have seen this man dragged through hell and back in and out of courtrooms, indictments, impeachments, mug shots, and even an assassination attempt. And yet he has never backed down,” she said.

Donald Trump, as the presidential nominee, is expected to speak Thursday, the convention’s final night.
